Integration Engineer (Workato / n8n & Workday)
Role Overview
This is a hands-on technical role dedicated to designing and maintaining production-ready agentic AI workflows. You will join a leading crypto company on a contract basis, sitting within their IT/HR team. You will be responsible for orchestrating multi-step automations across a modern HR tech stack to measurably reduce manual effort and improve the employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Build: Create robust, multi-step agentic AI workflows in n8n or Workato to automate core HR processes like onboarding and job changes.
- AI Orchestration: Implement tool-calling AI agents that take action by orchestrating LLMs and API calls.
- Prompt Engineering: Apply advanced techniques (system prompts, tool design, guardrails) to ensure agents are reliable and safe for business-critical functions.
- Systems Integration: Integrate with HR systems—primarily Workday—via APIs and webhooks.
- End-to-End Ownership: Manage the full lifecycle of automation projects, from technical design to testing and impact measurement (KPIs).
Required Qualifications
- Years of Experience: 6+ years in software engineering, systems automation, or integration engineering.
- Agentic AI Expertise: Demonstrated experience building workflows that use LLMs for tool-calling and multi-step orchestration.
- Automation Platforms: Expert-level skill in n8n and/or Workato.
- Programming: Proficiency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Go for custom logic.
- Security Mindset: Ability to design secure, auditable solutions suitable for handling sensitive PII in an enterprise environment.
- Communication: Excellent skills to collaborate with non-technical HR stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
- Full-stack development experience (React/TypeScript/Go).
- Direct integration experience with Workday, Greenhouse, or Snowflake.
- Familiarity with GenAI infrastructure (RAG, LangChain/LangGraph, LLM gateways).
- Background in HR technology or People systems.
